Ðóñàêîâ Ñåðãåé Ãðèãîðüåâè÷ Îêîí÷èë Ìîñêîâñêèé èíñòèòóò ýëåêòðîííîãî ìàøèíîñòðîåíèÿ, ôàêóëüòåò àâòîìàòèêè è âû÷èñëèòåëüíîé òåõíèêè, è âå÷åðíåå îòäåëåíèå òîãî æå èíñòèòóòà, ôàêóëüòåò ïðèêëàäíîé ìàòåìàòèêè. Ñ 1974 ãîäà êàíäèäàò òåõíè÷åñêèõ íàóê.  1987 ãîäó çàùèòèë äèññåðòàöèþ äîêòîðà òåõíè÷åñêèõ íàóê. Çàñëóæåííûé äåÿòåëü íàóêè Ðîññèéñêîé Ôåäåðàöèè. Ñ 2008 ãîäà - ÷ëåí-êîððåñïîíäåíò ÐÀÍ.
